Vital Signs Committee
Since 2007 the Vital Signs committee of the Cody Medical Foundation has worked to find volunteers in our community who work to help better the lives of people in West Park Hospital District which includes the towns of Cody and Meteetsee. The committee then puts on a fundraising event to celebrate those special volunteers and to support the Cody Medical Foundation in its causes to make Cody and surrounding area healthier!
MARTY COE, aka Fearless Leader, has been the Executive Secretary for the Cody Medical Foundation since 1988. She is in charge of the “Vital Signs” annual fundraiser, as well as all Cody Medical Foundation board meetings. She is also responsible for all charitable donations and special events. A longtime resident of Cody, she has served the Cody community in many roles, for countless organizations over the years. She is a passionate advocate of mental health awareness, and has served on the Board of Yellowstone Behavioral Health, and was President of the NAMI State Board. She is also an Associate Broker for Berkshire Hathaway Brokerage West.
MEGHAN BRADY has been a member of the party committee since 2012. She joined the Cody community about 10 years ago and is the Director of Operations at Eleutian Technology. While on the committee she has chaired the Beck Lake Challenge and the 2014 – 2016 raffles. In the past, she has also volunteered for Northwest Family Planning.
LANI SNYDER has been on the party committee since 2008. A Cody native and University of Wyoming graduate in Finance. Lani is currently the office manager of Rawhide Well Service, LLC. Her past volunteer efforts include co-chairing the Western Design Conference and Cody High Style Fashion Shows, and co-chair of the Patrons Ball. She has also put her number skills to work at the Park County Nordic Ski Assoc., Park County Republican Women, Northwest Family Planning, and Park County Relay for Life, and the Spirit Mountain Hospice fundraising campaign.
ANNE MARIE SHRIVER has been a member of the party committee since 2008.
PAM FEELEY has been on the party committee since 2007. She has been a member of the Cody Stampede Parade Committee; Parent-Teachers Advisory Board; an EMT with the WPH ambulance service; Crisis Intervention Services Board Member; a board member of the Park County Child Protection Team; the Domestic Violence Task Force; several years on the Patron’s Ball Committee; a Bright Futures Mentoring mentor; served on the Spirit Mountain Hospice Committee, the Fund-A-Foot Committee, Hospice Serenity Garden, Big Horn Basin Blitz, and continues to serve on the Beck Lake Challenge Committee.
CATHY SWARTZ joined the party committee in 2011. Cathy and her husband owned and operated an electrical supply and lighting business in Florida for 30 years, and moved to Cody in 2011, after being a regular visitor for many years. She also enjoys volunteering with Park County Master Gardeners and Paintbrush Piercers Quilt Guild.
THERESA DONLEY joined the committee in 2015. She is active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce. Since moving to Cody in 1994, Theresa has worked with various boards and committees and enjoys volunteering in many capacities. She is also a Broker-Associate with Western Real Estate of Wyoming.
REBECCA TAGGART moved back to Cody in 2009 after too many years away. She joined the party committee in 2012. With a background in event planning and human resources, she looks forward to serving the community. She attended the University of Utah. Rebecca enjoys volunteering, and currently serves on the board for Yellowstone Recreations Foundation. She is the Special Events Coordinator for the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.
CHRISTINE BEKES is a Park County native, growing up in Powell, Wyoming. She is the Executive Director for the Powell Economic Partnership. Christine enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family, and tries to find time to help important community initiatives, like many of those spearheaded by the party committee. She has also helped with the Beck Lake Challenge.
JOYCE BOYER retired and was asked to join the party committee in 2015. The former Park County Clerk of District Court served for 22 years. During that time she was involved in improving jury service, court record keeping, and child support. Joyce was formerly active in the effort to build the Hospice House, Soroptimist and the Relay for Life committee. She continues to be active in Chapter AO PEO, Beta Sigma Phi, and Park County Republican Women and the Park County Precinct Committee where she serves as Treasurer. She also serves as Secretary on the Cody Heritage Museum Board of Directors, and as the Vice Chairman for the Park County Republican Party.
CINDY BENNETT, a member of the party committee since 2010, moved to Cody after working for many years in the California art scene where she volunteered as Vice President of United Nations Association, Pasadena, President of SITE – a non-profit arts organization, and as a Fine Art Facilitator for HIV-LA. Her volunteer efforts in Cody include board member of FOAL, Patrons Ball Committee, Bright Futures art mentoring, and the Beck Lake Challenge. She exhibits her artwork locally at the West Park County Hospital and throughout the country.
JODY HOLLY, joined the committee in 2016. She and her husband own and manage Big Bear Motel and Big Bear Motors, all which keep her extremely on the go! She is doing an amazing job for someone so new to the committee, and we so appreciate her support!
MARY HAUGEN was born and raised in Wyoming. She moved to Cody in 1968 when her dad, George Brown became the manager of the Hoodoo Ranch. Mary attended the University of Wyoming where she received 2 degrees. She spent the next 27 years as an Elementary School Counselor/Social Worker in Gillette. Three years ago she and her husband Marv retired and moved back to Cody to take care of her mother Donna Brown. She loves being back in Cody Country.
CATHI LOVE is new to the committee this year. Native Californians, Cathi and her husband moved to Cody in 2002 for a slower pace and for the fishing. After working at West Park Hospital for seven years, most recently as the Volunteer Coordinator, she retired in 2017. Cathi has been President of Park County Arts Council, President of Chapter AO PEO, and served on the board for Park County Leadership Institute and Women’s Business Expo. She was a member of Cody Ambassadors, Cody Garden Club and the Business Boot Camp Steering Committee. Most recently, she helped in the Beck Lake Challenge. Cathi enjoys playing pickleball, gardening, walking/hiking, reading, snowshoeing, cooking/baking and various crafts.
